Robin Williams at 63 took his own life 4 months ago and he was never forgotten by his family and friends that are closest to him. Zak Williams, 31, son of the late Robin Williams was interviewed on People for the very first time since the incident.

“I miss him all the time, tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story.

“Often I see something or if I’m watching a film, I think, ‘Oh, man, he would have appreciated this’ or ‘He would have gotten a laugh out of this. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think about our dad.”

Robin Williams was also known to be compassionate and generous to the young patients of St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Marlo Thomas, who worked with the late Robin Williams for 18 years recalled his relationship with the patients. He said,

“One of them liked toy soldiers, so Robin sent him his own toy soldiers that he had saved all those years of his childhood,” says Thomas. “When he came there, it was like magic.”

Zak was inspired by his fathers generosity, he started volunteering at a nearby prison and according to him it helped in the healing process.
